Me and my mate are thinking about doing a roadtrip across the US next year. I haven't done any reserach of good routes so far but was just wondering what you guiys think would be best. I have seen a few programmes on people doing it and it looks like fun. We will probably do it on motorbike. If we don't we will literally just have a bag each and will find our way across using whatever transport we can... that might be more interesting me thinks. I wanna go through a variety of places but of course I want to go through mainly party towns/cities were we can stop off and chill in various bars and strip clubs etc. An indication of the distance we wanna travel is I think we will probably stay about 4 weeks. Maybe stopping off in certain places for a few days and then moving on.

I would appreciate any info you can give. I know lots about the major cities of the US but nothing about the smaller towns you pass in between. Thanks

Well I dont think Id do it on foot
I guess you could try and Hitch or Use the Buss But that would SUCK ASS my friend. The Bike Idea was much better, or you need to rent a car.

Depends On where your going exactly. Are you looking at the east coat or west?
If you guys are Just wanting to party and check out the Ladies Id say
Hit Up any of the Hot spots on Spring Break....Pretty much all of March.
Padre Island Might be worth looking into, Texas I hear also has The best Strip clubs in the States. Its only a Trip across the bridge and youll be in Mexico.
Or Daytona Fl may be closer to where your coming from.

Agreed w/rAJJIN. Bikes like you said would be good but long distances may be trying. Best bet would to be just rent a car. If you're looking to cut costs look up where hostels are in the U.S. There's one on the main strip here in S.D. just north of me...There are certain types of people that use hostels but I did it all across Europe and it was fun...espeacially the random fine ass girls.:D:smoker: :afro:

When I said whatever way possible I meant train, coach/bus, plane etc. If the distance is very far then we would just get an internal flight. If I do something like this I will take a decent amount of $ with me. But of course I don't wanna throw it away so the flights would be 1 or 2. But yeah the bike would be very good but just thinking about distance so thats why I am thinking of the other way.

I like to go on numerous types of holidays (not just getting drunk etc). But yeah this trip would be mainly be for getting wrecked and meeting the fine ladies of America. Spring Break sounds good to me. I plan to go to Cancun for that sometime. I was actually thinking East and West coast. We could visit some places on the East and then get a flight over to the West. I will look up some of the places you mention. Thanks alot. Keep the suggestions coming.

Boston does look good. I stayed up to watch them beat the Lakers in the final. I have recently got into basketball quite abit. Not alot of opportunity to watch it over here though. Just late on CH5 once per week (when big games are on). The game finished at 5am here.

Oh and I am into many things. We are not the typical young travellers who get so drunk and are a complete mess and thats it. Saying that that can happen sometimes but I think you will know what I mean. I would wanna try many things. Having breakfast in a real american diner in the middle of nowhere to driving karts or eating in a nice restaurant. I am up for doing most things in the day. But yeah the usual of just walking around and seeing what the place has to offer would be common. Not having anything planned and just seeing what happened. I do like to eat nice food so your suggestion sounds appealing.

Loads of my mates who have been (and to Cancun) always say how easy it is to pull because of their accent. I am from Liverpool and it is completely different to anything in the US. I don't have trouble anyway but I will defo be playing the UK card and "We are new in town what are the best places."

So I think the attraction of it all is not knowing what to expect. I think I will just have alist of places I wanan go list out their positions and just go on from that. But if you wanna mention certain clubs/bars/restaurants then taht would be cool cos I can look out for them. I wanna see many parts of the US. So I don't mind being in the middle of nowhere one day and then in Las Vegas the next.

That sounds good. I think we will mainly stay in hostels. It will be more fun and there will be more going on (and cheaper). I went to Ibiza last year and the 4 star hotels are fairly cheap and I usually stay in 3-5 star depending who I am going with. But for Ibiza I picked the nastiest looking hostel right in the centre of San Antonio (very busy) just cos it would alot more fun. It was a 1 star but we had a laugh I guess cos it had like minded people staying there.

Hey Im jealous ! ! ! I live here in the US and I cannot do a trip like that. I would say start in Florida. The whole state is almost like a party town. most of the cost of the Gulf of Mexico is town to town party towns> Tampa,
tallahasee, Panama city, Pensacola, of course a few more like miami and Daytona. but those two are not on the gulf cost. but still Super party towns. Chicks bikinies and bars full of the most beautiful women in the world. There is a series of porns called Dream girls. there are about 30 or more in the sereis of this guy going to clubs mostly in the tampa area with his camera and the girs just start flashing therte tits and ass. Damned thing I ever saw. I rented every one of those 30 dream girs videos. anyway follow the cost line from florida to gulf shores Alabama another good party town and then to New Orleans Louisiana. I live in Louisiana. New Orleans is not hthe same after the huricane but it is still a great party town. just stay in the french quarter and it will be fine. now I would consider the french quarter the party capital of the world. I have not been around the world but I ve talked to people from all around the world and they all know New Orleans. Then off to Texas. I agree with rajjin texas has the best strip clubs in America. I often drive across the state line to texas just for the strip clubs. If you come to louisiana look me up. yea Texas is on the mexico border and we all know what lies across the mexican border.:D
