Police in New Castle County say a 44-year-old man was arrested after a week-long long investigation led them to thousands of grams of marijuana and dozens of bottles of a liquid steroid inside of two homes.

Police say their investigation started last month, when they were called to a ******** incident at a home on the unit block of East 44th Street in Penrose. Officers say they found the front door of the home left unsecured when the arrived.

Officers say they door opened when they knocked, revealing what was described by police as a strong odor of marijuana from the home.

Police say they also could see marijuana plants growing inside of the home where investigators determined 44-year-old Robert Stultz was recently living. Investigators say they also learned he had a previous address at a home on the 600 block of Centerville Road.

Investigators with the New Castle County Drug Control Squad took over the case and say they found approximately 8,000 grams of marijuana along with 44 bottles of a liquid steroid, among other items from the two homes.

On Friday, members of the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force located Stultz at a Budget Inn on the unit block of Memorial Drive in New Castle.
