Disabled Vet need help

Hey. Im a 32 year old disabled veteran. I been dianosed with low testosterone, hypogonadism or something like that. My testosterone is 26 and the dr told me it shoul be between 200 and 800. He has prescribed me injections of 200 mg every three weeks. My question from reading alot of other post is should i seperate these into 3 equal ammounts every week. Ive read that there is a drop off of the affects after a week or so. Any info would help me out, im a newbe to all this and my first post. Thank you so much for your help

A good rule of thumb would be the 200mg/week(each week). Did your Dr. not give you a protocol??

Some people like doing longer estered test like cyp and enanthate even twice/week but it's a preference.

I'm thinking you have maybe a 10ml vial of 200mg./ml of Test(cyp or other?)...That would just be ONE 1ml shot each week.

I am prescribed 200mg every 2 weeks. I do self administration as well and switched it to 50mg twice a week. Keeps my levels more stable and makes me feel better. I recently switched to subq injections, and love it. I would strongly recommend using slin pins whether you go im or subq.

If you have been prescribed 200mg/e3w, I would say 1ml once a week would be fine. No need in breaking it into 3 different shots throughout the week.

I am not on hrt, however i recently met some folks in my area that have been prescribed test cyp. They have been prescribed similar protocols, 200 mgs every other week. Obviously some hrt doctors are still learning. One of these guys im talking about has been on this protocol for a couple years. He can feel his test levels drop off when doing every other week shots. A shot atleast once a week is required to maintain steady levels. He has learned to take his prescribed shot of 200 mgs every other week, then he substitutes some ugl gear so he can take 200 mgs every week. He has doubled the prescribed dose and his levels are in the 800's.

I would get another bottle from one of the sponsors here and run 1ml every other week instead of every third week.

Thanks for all the info guys. I dont know what kind it is going to be or anything yet I just got prescribed today and it will come in the mail in a few days. I was questioning it cause hes just a regular dr not an endo tho i have seen one. So wasnt sure if he knows 100% what hes doing.

Once i found out i had low t, my Dr put me on Axiron. Its kind of like androgel but goes under the arm. I have small children and did not like the thought of being able to transfer it to them. After a month, i told him iwanted to be switched to injectibles. He prescribed me 100 mg every 3 weeks and would not let me self administer. Geared with the knowledge i gained at PM, i knew this was way too low. I left him and went to a urologist. He gave me 200mg every 2 weeks, but allows me to self administer, so i can dose as i see fit. I wouldn't be hesitent to get a second opinion. The standard starting protocol seems to be 200 mg every 2 weeks. Than God for boards like this to help us out.

if its from the VA hosp it will be either Watson or Delatestryl. a called the pharmacists at my VA hosp and specifically asked for the Watson and thats all they send me now.

What I would do if you have the money is about the 18th day on his protocal get a fasting total testosterone and free testosterone done. It sounds like you going to be on the low side of where hes hoping you will be.

1 shot every 3 weeks would be a roller coaster type bad time. . I'm at 200mg week scripted and I even like making it 2x week. Ask your doc to look at half lives and active systemic times for cyp or enan.
If indeed you can only get the 200mg e3rd week get some additional test to frequent your injs to well within active time for the compound. You will feel much better.
