The doctor says its in the cards for me at some point down the road. Everything has been done that they can do. Obviously, I am putting it off as long as possible. Once its replaced, I've been told it will be no more heavy lifting in the gym. Screw that. Shoulder replacements are much less common than knees or hips.

I am curious if anyone knows someone or has had first-hand experience with this type of joint replacement?

I have a relative that was a pro fisherman and had to have it done. He always complains that it has never been right since and cannot cast anything like he use to, so I would assume that it would be worse in relations to hitting heavy weight.

Yeah... My training partner knows a guy… not even a lifter… that has already had to have his re-adjusted because of problems. Yikes.

There is a guy I know from the gym that had this done. He is always depressed now and stating how it seems to be more of a problem since he had it done then before?

Yeah, everything I have heard has not been real positive on this procedure. Just makes me more determined NOT to do it.

Hey Brick long time since we talked. Well as you may remember I was told I had to have one on the left. I started rehabbing it and it has come along nicely. I just completed a really heavy labor job(10-11 hrs daily for 2weeks) in wis and it held up well. I'm just not ready to give up. I keep intending to run some tb500 as many guys I know have had great luck with that pep. Man I'm hoping you
can get around that proceedure. As of now it's not for me. Good luck brother I know you'll find the way.. T

Hey Turbo! Good see you here! Short term, I may try some deca. Been a long while for me and I'll see if that helps at all... next on my list is the tb500. I'll going to throw everything in the book at it.

Good to hear. As you know i'm still rehabbing my shoulders. It is coming very well. Sometimes we take a step back to be able to move forward.
Update us please with your progress. Thanks, T

I have never heard of shoulder replacements? Is it basically like a ball and bone like a hip replacement? I had two rotator cuff repairs only and it's worse thing I have ever dealt with , nothin but a hassle .I cant imagine the rehab time after..

Yes, basically the same. There are several approaches to shoulder replacement, all using metal and plastic parts to replace bone and socket

So how is it coming? I'm really hopefull for you brick to get things working smoothly again. The surgeon that I consulted told me 30 seconds into the consult that my lifting days were finished. Well just not true. 2 months ago I could not sleep due to really bad shoulder pain. Both sides one worse than the other. One thing I noticed over the years is if I hurt one shoulder the other many times would end up fucked up too.I think a result of favoring or compensating for the bad side. Keep at it. As you said everything cept the kitchen sink. Good luck my friend. T
