Just wondering what you guys would rather be. Keep in mind these numbers are for someone 5'10" like me. I figure at the 240 wieght you'd probably be able to see an outline of your abs depending on where you hold more fat. So you wouldn't be fat but just not super lean. I'd rather be at the 240lb weight, I don't think I'd like being 190lbs and I love to eat as well.

I'm 5'8 and I love to be at 215 /12-13% as opposed to 180 ripped

But from an athletic point of view- 180 is much more realistic for my training and teaching.

I'm 5'-3" sitting at about 175. Maybe 12-15% bf. I would like to see what 200 feel like. I haven't been real lean in a long time. And to be honest, don't care to be.

This is the lightest I've been in years (26-27 yrs). 230-35 five sixish have been as high as 315-20. 280ish was comfortable and strength was really good.
down at this wt I feel so much better. I'll never go really heavy body wt again.
Like the small waisted lean feel. . Ideally for me would be 240ish with decent abs top to bottom. T

I am the same height as you. I like 242lbs, it is my sweet spot. Can still see the outline of my abs, but I am much stronger than at 220lbs, which I was at this time last year after 12 weeks of cutting.
From a medical perspective, lighter is easier on your knees, hips, etc as we age...but, as I approach 50 years old and get older..if my joints tell me I am carrying too much weight, I will cut some until my joints are square with my weight.

I got up to almost 250 last cycle, probably from the insulin, and that was a little much for me though- so, I cut the insulin and the weight came back down. At 250, I started getting winded at work while doing physical tasks required of me in my job.

Out in the boondocks
Years ago I would he deffinately said the bigger the better. I can tell you I get much more attention being 220@8% than 240@12%. Far less musclehead comments and more "HOLY SHIT" comments.

Being lean does make one appear bigger than a slightly softer counterpart as we all know. But having been around many competitors I can tell you that that ends when you stand beside them. A sliced 17" inch arm looks huge until you place it next to a 20" arm, even if is a bit soft.

Most guys at my gym compete at 198 or less and they do look big until me 5'11 @265 or one of my bigger counterparts walk by and then they disappear LOL.

That being said this is the second time I have weighed 265. The first time I was just plain chubby and it felt bad. This time I look off season big, still have some veins and a three pack is only about 5-10 lbs off.

So, I would say that looking "off season" is what I prefer, but not like a slob.

I had rather maintain the offseason look :).

But, I'm going to give it a shot and lose some extra and lean down. I guess you never know which you will like until you do it.

I wouldn't mind sitting at 220 @8% or lower.

ESP. When I'm a lot stronger than guys that weigh more!
