The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) has seized $10 million worth of steroids from Edmonton homes and storage lockers, marking what's believed to be the largest illegal steroid bust by a Canadian police agency.

Last week, police searched multiple locations across Edmonton in connection with a steroid production lab. At one of the locations, residents in the Hollick-Kenyon neighbourhood noticed a large police presence at a home near 162 Avenue and 54B Street and watched as hazardous materials workers removed items after item.

When all was said and done, more than 350,000 pills, 10,000 vials and three dozen types of chemical precursors and additives were seized in total from the various sites.

More details will be provided at a news conference on Thursday, but an ALERT spokesperson said the lab was a major steroid manufacturer and distributor that had connections across Canada.

Last June, a few tips from vigilant citizens lead Edmonton police to a sophisticated illegal steroid production and distribution facility. That lab contained more than 26,000 ml of liquid steroids, over 183,000 steroid pills and close to 17,000 grams of steroid powder. The total value was just over $600,000.

City police charged a 32-year-old man with a number of offence following a search of two apartment suites -- one in Edmonton and one in Fort Saskatchewan. The seizure then was the largest steroid bust in Edmonton police history.

Four years ago, a former steroid user told the*Sunthat finding an illegal steroid dealer in Edmonton was "easier than finding a pot dealer."

"They're everywhere," said the man, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. "If you know where to ask around, you'll be hooked up in an hour or two."

The man, who used them for five years, said his strength and muscle bulk increased dramatically over time, but they also gave him a hair-trigger temper, depression and acne across his back.

The public is more worried about other drugs like cocaine and speed, the man said, because steroid users don't contribute to street crime, like break ins and car thefts.

"They won't break into your home to get their next hit," he said. "But they probably commit more assaults and domestic abuse."

Here's additional information apparently they had all sorts of shit

http://www.steroidal.com/largest-steroid-bust-canadian-history-usp-labs-goes/

Police in Canada have busted well-known UGL – USP Labs and made the*largest steroid bust*in Canadian history, totalling over $9.3m in seized anabolic steroids and equipment.

Officers have busted a huge steroid ring in Alberta, Canada, taking down one of the largest and common underground labs (ULGs) in Canada and USA. Investigators have put the street value of the haul at a massive $9.3m, and although these figures are often inflated, this seizure is enormous.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) and federal Canadian police started their investigations into the activities of four individuals in May 2014. Kirk Goodkey, Parmjit Brar, Jordan Quiring and Alexandria Edwards were all put under surveillance whilst information was gathered about their*huge illegal steroid operation.

Officers raided three homes and two storage lockers in Edmonton, related to the four individuals suspected of operating the UGL.

Investigators found; 365,268*steroid tablets, pill pressers, 10,583 vials of*injectable steroids, 124kg of raw steroid hormone powder, 1.2 tonnes of various chemical cutting agents and powders and 30 litres of drug precursors, carrier oils and solvents.

The Edmonton Fire Rescue Hazardous Materials also discovered over 100 barrels of unknown liquids, again, thought to be solvents and oils used to make finished*injectable steroid products.

Police found a fully operational UGL large-scale operation, capable of producing hundreds of vials of injectable steroids and hundreds of bottled*oral steroid*products per day. A pill presser, beakers, high definition printing equipment, sterilisation equipment, filters and a spectrometer were also found.

Over $88,000 in cash, as well as four top of the range vehicles were also discovered in the raids.

Its safe to say these guys weren’t f*cking about!

Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team spokesman Mike Tucker alleged Goodkey as the ringleader and central to the investigation.

Inspector Darcy Strang went on to explain this raid will have a large impact on anabolic*steroids*sold illegally in Edmonton.

“These individuals are allegedly responsible for a large, illegal,*underground steroid distribution network*that spans across Canada and these investigators have literally cut the head off the snake.

“We believe this has literally shut down the sale of steroids in Alberta, significantly.”

We know its USP Labs, which stands for underground steroids pharmaceuticals, because of forum chatter online.

I think LE over-inflates the value to make it bigger than it is and give themselves a pat on the back come bonus time.

They also go off street values of drugs. Like if a kilo of blank was broken down it'd be worth say $500,000 and a bottle of test e could be sold for $100-150 maybe more so that alone would sky rocket the 10,000 bottles up to 1mil-2mil dollars plus all the lab equipment and pills plus its Canadia but I still don't see it being 10 mil.

The worst part about this one was that "a few vigilant citizens lead Edmonton Police..." Apparently LE knew nothing about it but some 'good citizens' ed them to it. Apparently they weren't very discreet!
